Danforth Pewter - we work metal by hand. From their workshop in Middlebury, Vermont, Danforth makes American pewter inspired by ancient craft and modern day design. Beautiful objects — rooted in simplicity and functionality — designed to be used: Christmas ornaments passed down through generations, oil lamps to light cozy homes, jewelry to adorn the everyday. They honor the metal, celebrate milestones, and elevate the everyday with handcrafted pewter designed to stand the test of time. <br / br> <br /br>Pewter is an incredibly versatile metal; this alloy of tin, copper, and antimony can make oil lamps, jewelry, tableware, everyday housewares, and timeless objects. Danforth uses this metal to make a wide range of items ranging from the classic to the contemporary. Their pewter is 100 percent lead free and meets or exceeds all FDA food-safety standards. The designs are all hand-crafted — cast or spun — at their Middlebury, Vermont workshop.
