It was a small studio with a few artists who hand-painted ivory china. That company became Lenox Incorporated in 1906. <br /br> <br/br>Lenox became the first American-made china to grace a US president's table when Woodrow Wilson commissioned a 1,700 piece service for the White House in 1918. Five more presidents followed this precedent including Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1934, Harry S. Truman in 1951, Ronald Reagan in 1981, Bill Clinton in 2000, and George W.
